The HADC is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) to provide skills training for those in the Hartford area workforce. This is a response to requests from several employers to make training more accessible. Most of the Technical College campuses in the area are a 30-45 minute drive from Hartford. Coupled with the varied work schedules in place at area businesses it was very difficult for an individual to pursue advanced skills training on their own.
Under our agreement with WCTC, classes will be offered from 1-5 pm on Thursdays using professional instructors from their staff. Classes will be held at Quad in Hartford and all area employees will be able to access them during their workday. The first class offerings will include Foundational Leadership, Excel (basic, intermediate and advanced), OSHA and Project Management.
A customized registration process has been developed by WCTC and a link to it is prominently featured on the HADC website (HADC.org). Invoicing back to the employer will be done by WCTC following completion of the class.
Continuous learning and upskilling are a must for our workforce and the HADC, as an advocate for area businesses, is pleased to have taken the lead in finding a high quality partner to provide this vital training.
